Sound Editing Reel

Dramatic clip “Not Like the Other Girls”

Here is a narrative, drama clip, taken from an experimental film I wrote/shot and directed. I edited the clip using both Avid and Final Cut with colour grading and look distinction using Magic Bullet Suite.

Directing Clip

This is a clip from the short drama, “Sinking” (2005) that I wrote and directed. Sarah, a reformed alcoholic and party-goer just discovers that she has been raped by a long-time friend and must deal with the consequences. Thus, the scene was emotionally complex as well as technically delicate as I had to draw out shock and devastation from the actress while not exposing her state of undress in the shot. FUN FACT: I acquired permission from RJD2 for use of music for the opening of this short. His music would later be used in the opening of AMC TV series, “Mad Men”.
